      Haad Tham Phang

Enjoy swimming in this beautiful curved bay. The white-sand beach is ideal for relaxing, swimming or snorkeling. Just to the north of the bay are the unusual cliff formations of Laam Chakapong, a perfect spot for fishing or for simply watching the sunset.

      Saan Chao Pho Kao Yai

This Chinese Buddhist temple has to be one of the most interesting in Thailand. This temple has to be seen to be believed as it is built into a natural limestone cave and contains a very unusual statue of the Buddha.

It is situated on a hilltop at Kao Kayasira that overlooks the island and the sea.

The celebrations for the Chinese New Year are one of the highlights at the temple with both Thai and Chinese people participating in a celebration of life.

      Phra Judhadhut Palace

Rama V built this palace as a holiday resort for the Royal family. It is situated in beautifully landscaped, terraced gardens containing ponds, streams, fountains, caves and cliffs. It is located on the south side of the island.

      Wat Asdangnimitra Temple.

This Temple was designed in the Sri-Lanka style and is located in the same area as the Judhadhut palace. The temple also boasts an ancient Bodi tree that was brought from Buddhagaya in India. The temple is built on a hilltop overlooking the Palace and the sea and it offers truly wonderful views of the surrounding area.

      Buddha’s Footprint

The Buddha’s Footprint is located on the northern hill close to Saan Chao Pho Khao Yai. King Rama V had the footprint made from a sacred stone imported specially from Buddhagaya in India. The area also contains relics of The Buddha.
